Before and after school childcare

Our before and after school clubs are really popular with parents and children. Our Nursery and Reception children are together in the Rainbow Room. Years 1 to 6 use the Lower School Hall, IT Suite, Studio as well as the playground and field.

Before School Club

Our before school and breakfast club is open to all children from 07:45. All children have the option of having breakfast with us too. There is a choice of cereals available each day including corn flakes, rice crispies, shreddies and weetabix.

When it’s time for the children to go to their classes, they are escorted to their classrooms or the appropriate playground depending upon their age.

After School Club

After school club begins at the end of the school day for the children. This is different depending upon which year group a child is currently in:

  • Nursery - 15:30
  • Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 (Key Stage 1) - 15:20
  • Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 (Key Stage 2) - 15:10

Please note that After School closes at 5.45pm

Younger children are collected from their classrooms by the Greyhounds team while older children are walked down to us by their teachers. All children are signed in so we know they are safe.

Everyone is offered snack. Here is a list of the typical foods we serve at snack time. Activities we include in our clubs are:  sports, iPad usage, colouring, arts & crafts, play dough, den building, scooter hockey, painting, junk modelling, quizzes, word searches and board games. We also have access at all times to the outdoor area for children who just want to spend time outside after their day at school.

If any of our children or families have any ideas on activities and clubs they would like us to try at Greyhounds please contact us and where practical we’ll give it a try!
