Information: I have worked at Greswold for over 14 years, starting as an NQT in Year 3. Since completing my induction year I have also worked in Year 5 and now Year 2, joining the leadership team in 2007. Throughout my time at Greswold there have been lots of changes. In joining the Governing Body I wanted to support a different aspect of the school – especially as we move from two to three form entry. It is rewarding to be part of shaping Greswold’s future.

Appointed by: Greswold parents

Term of office: 4 years (June 2015-2019)

Committees: Curriculum and Personnel

Responsibilities: No additional responsibilities

Pecuniary Interests: This is my second academic year as a Parent Governor and I have two little boys who currently have the privilege of attending Grewold Primary School. I decided to apply for the position because, as both a parent & Primary School Teacher in Solihull, I am able to view topics from both angles. I have been a Teacher for the past eight years, specialising in French & currently Music. Before training as a Teacher, I worked in recruitment in the education sector. This meant working very closely with schools and having a secure knowledge of the interview process. I will always have the children's best interests at heart & I am thoroughly enjoying my experience as a Parent Governor at Greswold.

Term of office: 4 years (January 2016-2020)

Information: Being a governor at Greswold is not a new position for me as prior to my retirement in 2015 I had been a staff governor for many years. I was more than delighted to be invited to remain on the governing body albeit in a different capacity. Greswold has been part of my life for 20 years and I have seen many changes, especially currently with the expansion to three form entry. I have a high regard for all the school community and have a passion to be part of the journey Greswold is currently taking. I am hoping my long association with Greswold and my experience in an educational environment will be of value to the school's future.
