Child Care

We would like to establish a bank of Relief Child Care Play Workers who are required on a casual basis.

 

The Relief Play Worker position will cover planned absences, staff illness and ratio requirements, across a variety of times sessions, between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00hrs during term time, inset days and holiday play schemes.

 

Candidates must have, at least, an NVQ level 2 Certificate in Children and Young People Workforce, its equivalent and willing to work towards an appropriate level 3 qualification. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working with children and other adults, to develop a safe and caring environment, where children enjoy learning and playing.

 

Salary will be paid on Band A Point 7 to 11 currently £15,115 to £15,807 pro rata, dependant on experience and qualifications.

Lunchtime Supervisors

We would like to establish a bank of Relief Lunchtime Supervisors who are required on a casual basis to replace existing staff when they are ill or are taking authorised leave of absence. Work will be supervised by the Lead Lunchtime Supervisor but will take place 12noon to 1:30pm on the days required. Salary will be paid on Band A Point 7 – 11 currently £15,115 - £15,807 + annual leave pro rata, dependant on experience and qualifications.

The position involves supervising children in the dining room and caring for them in the playground area during the rest of their lunchtime break.

Teaching/Learning Assistant

We are looking to appoint a child specific learning support assistant working as part of our Year 6 team. The position will commence in September 2017 and will be a fixed term contract for one year. The role is part time 15 hours per week Monday-Friday from 9.00am until 12.00pm, exclusive of INSET days. The position will be paid on Band C point 13-23 currently £16,491 to £21,268 pro rata dependent on relevant experience and qualifications.

Ideally, candidates will have an NVQ Level 3 in supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent, while a good level of numeracy and literacy is essential (GSCE Grade C and above or equivalent). However, skills in supporting children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs would be an advantage.

We are looking to appoint a child specific learning support assistant working as part of our Reception team. The position will commence in September 2017 and will be a fixed term contract for one year. The role is initially part time 7.5 hours per week from 8.50am until 10.20am Monday-Friday, exclusive of INSET days. These hours will increase as the year continues. Please contact the school to discuss the hours if you wish. The position will be paid on Band C point 13-23 currently £16,491 to £21,268 pro rata dependent on relevant experience and qualifications.

Ideally, candidates will have an NVQ Level 3 in supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent, while a good level of numeracy and literacy is essential (GSCE Grade C and above or equivalent). However, skills in supporting children with speech, language and communication difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Disorder would be an advantage.

Other 

Part Time Assistant Site Manager

We are looking to appoint immediately, an enthusiastic Part-time Assistant Site Manager, to undertake caretaking, janitorial duties, minor maintenance and some cleaning duties. A caring attitude towards children would be a distinct advantage. The successful applicant will have a background in building or general maintenance of large buildings and their grounds. The job will involve working for 15 hours per week as a minimum expectation but as projects develop there may be more hours available.

 

The salary will be paid on Band A point 7 to 11 £15,115 to £15,807 per annum pro rata.

 

Experience of a similar role would be preferred but all applications will be considered on merit.
