Child Care

 

We are looking to appoint for an immediate start a permanent Play Worker for Greswold Greyhounds Childcare. The position will be for 20 hours per week contracted 07.45 to 08.45hrs and 15.00 to 18.00hrs daily over 5 days, term time only. There is an expectation that in agreement with the Manager of Extended Services Inset days and play schemes will be worked on a rota basis and paid as additional hours.

Candidates must have, at least, an NVQ level 2 Certificate in Children and Young People Workforce, its equivalent and willing to work towards an appropriate level 3 qualification. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working with children and other adults, to develop a safe and caring environment, where children enjoy learning and playing.

 

We would also like to establish a bank of Relief Child Care Play Workers who are required on a casual basis.

The Relief Play Worker position will cover planned absences, staff illness and ratio requirements, across a variety of times sessions, between the hours of 07.45 and 18.00hrs during term time, inset days and holiday play schemes.

Candidates must have, at least, an NVQ level 2 Certificate in Children and Young People Workforce, its equivalent and willing to work towards an appropriate level 3 qualification. 

 

For both positions the salary will be paid on Band A Point 7 to 11 currently £6,785 to £7,096, dependant on experience and qualifications.
