Hello Year 3,
We hope that you had a great half term break and that you were able to relax, take some time out to do the things you enjoy and to spend time with your family.
For the start of this new half term, we have some exciting lessons planned for you, including some things that you haven’t done before. There is a daily class reader session where you can listen to a story read by one of us. We don’t want you to do any work on this, but just to listen for pleasure. There are also new Real PE activities to try everyday which we hope will help to keep you active.
But our major focus for our first week back is our DT project which you will be learning about every afternoon for this week. You will be researching, designing, learning skills, making and evaluating a healthy snack. This follows on our work on healthy eating in Science and also from our mental health and well-being week. It also fits in brilliantly with our PSD topic of Healthy Me (which you will be starting next week).
We hope that you enjoy the activities and can’t wait to the designs that you come up with. Have a good first week back and we'll see you in the drop ins or in the Friday catch ups as usual. Just another quick reminder that the Maths drop in times have changed to 11.15-11.45 for this half term.
Take care and stay safe,
From the Year Three Team
