What's going on in the Library?

Thursday 18th October 2018

The Book Fair has arrived in school! This October the Book Fair is being provided by The Book People. The children will enjoy browsing the books and hearing some of the stories during their library time this week.  Please come and see us in the library at the Parent Consultation Evenings on either Wednesday 24th or Thursday 25th October.  Why not have your bedtime story in the library before you head home?  Last entry will be 18:45pm please.  Cards or cash will be accepted.  Many thanks in advance for your support and happy reading and browsing!

Mrs L Beddow (School Librarian).

Friday 7th September 2018

It's been a busy first week back in the library.  Children have been busy choosing books and are keen to get stuck into their reading this term - fantastic!  How lovely it is to see the children's eager faces in the library again and hear all about their Summer reading.  If your child completed the Summer Reading Challenge in your local library during the holidays, please encourage them to bring their medal and certificate to their library time this week as Mrs Beddow would love to see it.

KS1 children have enjoyed the story 'Maisy goes to the Library' this week.  If you would like to share this story at home with your child, please click here for an online version.

New to the library this year for KS2 break and lunch times are:

- a new magazines corner

- a Top Trumps box

If you have any good condition Top Trumps games or magazines that are no longer needed at home and you think the children at Greswold might enjoy them, please consider donating to the library.

KS2 book-club will run on Tuesdays this year.  The first book the children have selected is 'Charlotte's Web' by E B White.  Send you child along to the library on Tuesday 11th September at 12:20pm if they'd like to join in!
