Candidates will have an NVQ Level 3 in supporting Teaching and Learning or the equivalent, while a good level of numeracy and literacy is essential (GCSE Grade C /4 and above or equivalent). Previous experience of working with children, particularly those with additional needs, would be advantageous. Enthusiasm, commitment and the ability to form positive relationships are equally important.
The role will be a temporary child specific role for 30 hours 50 minutes per week, Monday to Friday, exclusive of INSET days, from 08:30 to 15.10 with an unpaid 30-minute lunch break. The position will be paid on Band C point 8 - 14 currently £26,824 – £29,540 (pay award pending) pro rata dependant on qualifications and experience.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic lunchtime supervisor on a permanent contract to start as soon as possible. You must be able to work as part of a team and should be responsible and friendly, be able to keep calm whilst responding quickly to situations and enjoy working with children.
The position involves being proactive in a practical role of supervising children, aged between 4 & 11, in the dining room and caring for them in the playground area during the rest of their lunchtime break. Hours worked are seven and a half hours per week from 11:50 to 13:20 Monday to Friday inclusive, term time only, exclusive of INSET days. Slight variation in working times may be required.
Salary will be paid on Band A scale point 3, £24,796 pro rata (pay award pending) (Actual circa £4,193).
