The pupils of Year 4 Chaffinches are already showcasing their impressive artistic skills when recently given a sketching task to complete.  Using sketching pencils, the children were invited to observationally draw a chaffinch and experiment with the pencils to shade the image accurately.  The children achieved this with very little input and some of them even expanded on their original sketch, creating branches and additional birds from memory based on the images already sketched.  Creative subjects such as Art and Design and Music have always been promoted here at Greswold and the work of these year 4 artists clearly shows the positive impact of this ethos.
