  • Enriching learning through the use of real-life individuals

As part of our dynamic curriculum offer here at Greswold, we regularly expose children to a variety of notable individuals who have shown expertise in a particular field.

For example, this week in Design and Technology lessons in year 6, we are introducing and exploring a range of different designers and innovators across the areas of construction, electronics, textiles and food.

Our Year 6 pupils are currently adapting a recipe to make it healthier and using four chefs as influences, all known for their impact on Italian cuisine in the UK: Antonia Carluccio, Genaro Contaldo, Jamie Oliver and Angela Hartnett. The children have used a variety of sources to find out more about them and then presented their findings.

Another great example of real-life learning and cultural capital at Greswold.
