  • Greswold's School Bank update

    Tue 29 Sep 2015
Sandra from HSBC popped in to meet Year 5 and talk them through the jobs available at the School Bank. Pupils who are interested in joining the School Bank team have to complete an application form and will also be interviewed so they can say why they want the job. We hope to have the bank up and running after the half term break.
  • Play Leader Training

    Tue 29 Sep 2015
To make play times even better for our pupils, a group of 30 children from Years 5 and 6 spend the morning working with Mrs Chrysostomou from Lode Heath School. The children have volunteered to be play leaders and have received training which will enable them to run a whole range of games and activities for their fellow pupils. We look forward to the play leaders putting their new skills into action very soon.
  • Year 4 Roald Dahl Day

    Thu 17 Sep 2015
To celebrate the books of one of the UK's favourite Children's author, Roald Dahl, our Year 4 pupils came to school dressed up as some of his characters (well done parents). They spent the day learning more about the author and completing activities linked to his works. Year 4 will be reading some of Roald Dahl's stories this half term, focusing especially on the BFG.
  • Welcome to a new year of learning

    Thu 03 Sep 2015

Today we have been saying 'welcome' a lot - both to children who have returned to Greswold after the summer break and to those who have joined our school this September. The day started with an assembly led by Mrs Scott who made the children think about making a fantastic start to the year. She encouraged the children to think about the mixed feelings they may have on the first day - just like an athlete starting a race or someone taking off in an aeroplane. The assembly was also a chance for the school to meet Miss Evans, Mr Hobday and Mr Forrester who have joined our teaching staff.
