  • Sam Oldham visits Greswold

    Thu 27 Feb 2020

Olympic gymnast Sam Oldham visited Greswold to lead a sponsored fitness circuit with all pupils. Each year group got to join Sam in the hall and complete different exercises, with the aim to inspire our pupils to be more active. At the end of the day, the school came together with for a special assembly in which Sam demonstrated some gymnastic skills and answered questions.

Each child has also taken home a sponsorship form to help raise money for the event. Money raised from the sponsorship will be used to improve physical activity for our school, while also supporting Team GB athletes. Many thanks to everyone who is able to support the event through sponsorship and to Sam for visiting Greswold.

  • Year 2 Gymnastics success

    Thu 13 Feb 2020
We are extremely proud of our Year 2 gymnastics team who represented our school at a competition at Lode Heath on Tuesday. They all performed their routines confidently and with great control. The results were shared with us this afternoon and we are extremely pleased to announce that our two teams came 1st and 3rd out of 19 teams that participated. All the practice definitely paid off! Some of these children will now get the chance to represent South Solihull at the Coventry South Warwickshire County School Games Gymnastics Finals in March. How exciting!

  • Year 5 visit to Blists Hill

    Wed 05 Feb 2020
Pupils from Year 5 stepped back in time to the Victorian era when they visited Blists Hill in Telford. The children got to experience what life would have been like back in the 1800s. After dressing up in suitable clothing, it was off to school where the lessons were rather different to today. There was certainly less technology available to pupils back then!
