Twenty pupils from Year 5 visited Lode Heath School for an afternoon of activities all designed to immerse them in a modern foreign language (MFL). • Year 4 cricket team at Edgbaston

    Mon 18 Jul 2016
A big well done to our Year 4 cricket team who finished second in the Birmingham and Solihull Chance 2 Shine tournament. After winning the south Solihull competition, the children headed to the Warwickshire ground to play against 18 other schools. It was a very warm day and the children played really well as a team. The result was fantastic, coming second out of the over 100 schools who took part.
  • Year 6 leavers' party

    Fri 15 Jul 2016
With only a few days to go before they leave Greswold, Year 6 headed to the Village in Shirley for their leavers' party. Transport to the venue included a limo and the BCFC team coach, with everyone looking very grown up in their smartest clothes. It was a great evening for the children to enjoy, with a professional DJ providing the entertainment, pizza and chips for dinner and lots of happy memories. Many thanks to the group of parents who organised the evening and gave the children a night to remember.

    Fri 15 Jul 2016
Our Year 6 pupils showed off their musical talents in the annual House Music Competition. Each house had prepared a selection of musical pieces to perform and had to impress the judges. It was a very close competition, with the final result being a tie between St Andrew's and St Patrick's houses. Well done!
  • Basketball club fun

    Wed 13 Jul 2016
Miss Jacob's basketball club ended the year rather wet after a fun final session involving lots of water. The water-based games proved a very effective way to cool down on a hot summer afternoon and everyone had a great time. Many thanks to Miss Jacobs for all her hard work with the club this year.
  • PTA Summer Fest

    Sat 02 Jul 2016

Today's PTA Summer Fest was a great success and brought the Greswold family together. The rain held off for most of the afternoon and we even had some sunshine at times. There were lots of stalls and games to enjoy, along with food and entertainment. The festival feel was made complete by the many performances during the afternoon, with each year group singing a song. Visitors also enjoyed children from Animated Dance club performing, a Zumba workshop and two songs by ex-pupils the Smallwoods. Adding to the fun were tug-of-war competitions, music and games - all kept moving by our fantastic comperes.

Many thanks to all of the PTA who did a brilliant job organising the event, to all the children who performed and to everyone who came along to support on the day. All the money raised will go straight back into supporting the pupils here at Greswold.

  • Year 4 brass assembly

    Fri 01 Jul 2016
Each week over the past year, our Year 4 pupils have been learning to play brass instruments with Mr Jones and Mr Bull. Today they got to show off what they have been learning to Key Stage 2 and parents in a special assembly. The children performed four songs including a mini march and the ever popular 'Shake, Rattle and Roll'. We hope that lots of the children will be inspired to continue learning brass next year. Well done, Year 4 - you put on a great show. The performance can be watched again here on the website.
