Pupils in Year 2, 3 and 4 have been taking part in Scootability training this week. The sessions taught the children how to use their scooters safely near roads and also encouraged them to have fun. Thanks to the trainers from Sustrans who delivered the sessions.
Pupils in Year 2 have been learning the basics of coding using the Kodable app. They have put putting instructions into order to get their kodable characters through a selection of mazes. As they have progressed they have learnt how to use 'if...do...' commands and loops to make their coding more efficient.
Miss Nock took a group of pupils from Year 5 to Lode Heath Secondary School for a morning of language activities. The children enjoyed learning about the Welsh language - including finding out the longest place name in Wales (Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch). At the end of the morning they took to the stage to show off what they had learnt to the other primary schools taking part. Many thanks to the staff at Lode Heath for inviting us.
We hope everyone has had a good break over the summer. Today Mrs Scott welcomed our pupils back to Greswold with whole-school assembly. She reminded the children of our expectations and wished them well for the year ahead.
