  • Year 2 visit to St Alphege Church

    Fri 29 Nov 2019
Pupils from Year 2 were invited to visit St Alphege Church in Solihull to find out about the Christmas story. After a brisk walk, the children were welcomed by Linda and her team. They then visited different stations around the church to listen to the story from the point of view of the shepherds and inn keeper before making a special Christmas bookmark. The highlight for many of the children was meeting a real baby taking on the role of Jesus. Many thanks to everyone at St Alphege for making us feel so welcome.

  • Our School Improvement Plan for 2019-2020

    Mon 04 Nov 2019

Each year, Greswold's leadership team and Governors agree our focus for improvement over the next academic year. This School Improvement Plan (or SIP for short) is then used by all members of staff to help make Greswold an even better school.

Our new SIP for 2019-2020 is now available on the website. Click here for the full version. We also have a version written for our pupils as we think it is important that they know how we are moving the school forward and how they can help. Click here for the children's version.

  • Unveiling ceremony for new play houses for Early Years

    Mon 04 Nov 2019
The whole of Greswold Primary school community were very proud and extremely grateful to members of Solihull Council's Environmental Initiative team and Birmingham Bentley after they voluntarily built three new playhouses, over half term, for our Early Years' pupils to use and enjoy in their outside area.  This afternoon, Mrs Scott had the honour of unveiling the houses to the children in a lovely ceremony.  As a school, we pride ourselves in working in partnership with our local community and this is an amazing demonstration of how our community selflessly volunteers its time to benefit our children.  It also highlights the lengths our fantastic staff will go to in organising such events with the sole purpose of enhancing the learning lives of pupils here at Greswold Primary.
