Anyone for pasta? Year 6 have just the right recipe
At Greswold, one change we've made to our Design and Technology curriculum offer is that every year group now undertakes a module on food technology, helping to emphasise key learning from other subjects including Science, PSD and PE with regards to balanced diets and healthy lifestyles. It also helps to develop an all important life skill too.
A new addition to year 6's D&T has been lessons focusing on designing and making a pasta sauce. Children have sampled sauces, evaluated the ingredients, refined their chopping and slicing skills and designed their own sauce which they've made with a partner.
The best part was obviously the tasting which they then evaluating to see how successful they felt they had been.
We definitely seem to have some potential chefs here at Greswold! Well done year 6.
