KS2 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover – commencing September or November 2026)

We are seeking to appoint a full-time Key Stage 2 Class Teacher to cover a maternity leave starting September or November 2026. This is a fixed-term position, subject to the return of the substantive post holder.

Greswold Primary School is a large, ethnically diverse school located close to the centre of Solihull. We are proud of our inclusive ethos, where every child and every member of staff is valued, supported and encouraged to thrive. Our vision is simple but powerful: to create a learning community where every child really does matter.

Our BRICKS values — Belonging, Respect, Independence, Curiosity, Kindness and Success — underpin all aspects of school life and shape our curriculum, relationships and decision-making. Inclusion and wellbeing are at the heart of these values and inform how we support children with diverse needs and how we work together as a school community.

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and reflective teacher to join a welcoming and collaborative school for a fixed period. We are looking for someone who is creative, enthusiastic and passionate about inclusive practice, and who can make a positive contribution to pupils’ academic, emotional and social development during the maternity cover period.

The successful applicant will be paid on the Main to Upper Pay Range (M1–U3), currently £32,916 to £51,048, dependent on experience. Applications are welcomed from Early Career Teachers as well as experienced teachers. Please note that the school does not automatically recognise pay portability. Applicants are asked to indicate their preferred start date.

Informal enquiries are warmly welcomed via the email address below.

How to Apply: Applications should be completed using the attached application form and submitted by post or email to jobs@greswold.solihull.sch.uk
