Teaching/Learning Assistant

Child Specific Learning Support Assistant 32.5 hours

Greswold Primary School is committed to keeping young people and vulnerable adults safe. We will be requesting a DBS check to be carried out on appointment.

 

Greswold is a large and very popular primary school in central Solihull which provides an inclusive learning community where every child really does matter.

 

We are looking to appoint a Child Specific Learning Support Assistant, with experience of children with Down Syndrome, to work as part of our Year 5 team from September 2022.

 

The role is for 32.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, exclusive of INSET days, from 08:30 – 15:30, with an unpaid half hour lunch break. However, a job share arrangement is welcomed for the successful applicant who can offer afternoons (12-3.30pm) or 3 or 4 full days. Please indicate on your application form your preferred working pattern.

 

Ideally candidates must have NVQ Level 3 in supporting Teaching and Learning or the equivalent, while a good level of numeracy and literacy is essential (GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent).  The position will be paid on Band C point 8 - 14 currently £20,852 - £23,484 pro rata dependant on qualifications and experience.
