Greswold is a large and very popular primary school in central Solihull which provides an inclusive learning community where every child really does matter.

 

We are looking to appoint a Child Specific Learning Support Assistant, to work as part of our EYFS team. The position will commence as soon as possible and will be fixed term contracts until 31 August 2023.

 

The role will be 20 hours per week Monday to Friday, exclusive of INSET days, from 11:30 – 15:30. A 15:00 finish (17.5 hours) will be considered for the right candidate if required.  

 

Ideally candidates must have NVQ Level 3 in supporting Teaching and Learning or the equivalent, while a good level of numeracy and literacy is essential (GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent).  The position will be paid on Band C point 8 - 14 currently £22,777 – £25,409 pro rata dependant on qualifications and experience. Actual full year salary circa £10,507 -  £11,722.

School Office Administation Assistant

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, ambitious, hardworking individual who has the desire to be a member of the Greswold family and to work in our busy school office, starting as soon as possible.

 

The successful candidate will work for 22.5 hours per week, term time only including INSET. Hours will be 08.30 – 13.00 five days a week. There is also the opportunity to extend these hours until 14:00 and work between 12:10 until 13:10 within our lunchtime team.

The salary will be band B scale point 3 – 5, which is currently a full time equivalent of £20,812 – £21,575. The actual salary for the 22.5 hours will be £10,801 - £11,197.

Early Years Practitioner

Greswold Greyhounds is Greswold Primary School's very own childcare setting. We wish to employ an experienced and hard working Early Years Practitioner to work with our youngest children in the school's wraparound provision.

 

The person we are looking for must be willing to get involved, work hard and become part of our small team as well as working on their own initiative. The qualities we require include honesty, reliability and enthusiasm.

 

This is a maternity cover position commencing as soon as possible until August 2023 and will be paid on a Band B £20,812 - £21,575 pro rata. The role is for 30 hours per week, 9.00 am- 3.30 pm with an unpaid 30 minute lunch break, term time only. Extra hours in our before & after-school club may be available.

 

The role includes working on a daily basis with our children, setting up and providing opportunities for learning and play. Due to the children's age the applicant must be willing and able to participate in providing personal care to our children too. The successful applicant will be confident in communicating with children, colleagues and parents, also comfortable with giving feedback to parents on how their child's day has gone.

Lunchtime Supervisor

Lunchtime Supervisor

Greswold Primary School are looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic lunchtime supervisor on a permanent contract to start as soon as possible.  

 

The position involves a hands on job of supervising children, aged between 4 & 11, in the dining room and caring for them in the playground area during the rest of their lunchtime break. Hours worked are seven and a half hours per week from 11:45 to 13:15 Monday to Friday inclusive, term time only. Salary will be paid on Band A Point 1 to 3, £20,258 - £20,812 pro rata (Actual £3,410 - £3,503) dependant on experience and qualifications.

Clerk to the Governing Body

Greswold is a very popular 3 form entry primary school in Solihull that has an active governing body which provides excellent challenge and support to leadership and a clear strategic vision for the future. The role of clerk is essential in ensuring the continued success of the governing body.

 

We are looking to appoint a Clerk to the Governing Body to start in March. A good level of numeracy and literacy is essential (GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths & English).

 

The role is 39 weeks per year, 7 hours per week based on a flexible arrangement to include attendance at all Governing Body and Subcommittee meetings, which take place every Tuesday evening, between 7pm (6pm on one week per term) and 9pm. The position will be paid on Band B point 3 to 5 currently £20,812 - £21,575 pro rata dependant on qualifications and experience. Actual salary will be circa £3,360 - £3,483.

Site Manager

 

Greswold Primary school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All positions in this school will be subject to DBS clearance.

 

Greswold is now a fully expanded three form entry primary school with attached nursery and an extended services provision situated just north of Solihull town centre.

 

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic part time Site Manager, working alongside our full time Site Manager, to assist with the upkeep, maintenance and development of an efficient school, ensuring good, effective management and cleanliness of the premises and grounds. The successful applicant will be expected to play an active part in serving the needs of the school and its local community. A caring attitude towards children would be a distinct advantage. The contract is a permanent post, commencing as soon as possible.

 

The salary will be paid on Band C, currently £22,777 to £25,409 pro rata, for a 30-hour week, full year. Expected hours will be onsite from 6.00am to 12.30pm with an unpaid 30-minute break, however this role will also include some absence & holiday cover, evening and occasional early morning / weekend work.
