COMMUNICATION SUPPORT WORKER - CHILD SPECIFIC

Greswold is a successful 3 form entry primary situated near to the centre of Solihull. Our vision is to provide an inclusive learning community where every child really does matter. We are looking to appoint, to start as soon as possible, a communication support worker to assist a hearing impaired pupil in upper KS2. The role is child specific and will terminate when the pupil leaves.
The role is term time only exclusive of INSET days and will be 27.5 hours a week 08.40 – 15.25 (including an unpaid 15-minute mid-morning break and an unpaid hour lunch break).
Ideally candidates will have British sign language level 2, an NVQ Level 3 in supporting Teaching and Learning or the equivalent, while a good level of numeracy and literacy is essential (GCSE Grade C or equivalent).
The position will be paid on Band C point 8 - 14 currently £22,777 to £25,409 pro rata dependant on qualifications and experience. Actual salary circa £14,150 - £15,790.
