Despite dominating, Greswold boys' football team edged out by the odd goal

On Thursday evening at Solihull Moors, Greswold boys' football team played their second league match of the season against Tidbury Green.  Despite having a host of chances and most of the possession, it was Tidbury Green who scored the only goal of the game just after half time.  Unlucky boys and onto the next match in the new year.

On a side note, thank you to Mr Bartley, a parent, for kindly refereeing.

Players' report to follow......

This was only Greswold’s second game of the season. After drawing the first game 2-2, the team needed a win. The game started well with Greswold dominating the first half but the half ended 0-0, meaning Greswold needed to score in the next 11 minutes.  Unfortunately, the second half started with Tidbury Green scoring to break the deadlock. So with around 7 minutes to go, Greswold had to score either 1 or 2. Unfortunately, every time Greswold got an opportunity, the last shot, dribble or pass just wasn’t good enough. With their goalkeeper playing very well along with their defender, the game ended 1-0 to Tidbury Green. A disappointing result.
