Greswold through to Area Final after winning Sportshall Athletics qualifying heat
Today marked the start of the annual School Games Sportshall Athletics competition for Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire schools with Greswold starting very strongly, winning their regional heat.
The competition involves 12 track and field events for both boys and girls. These include 1+1 relay, 2+2 relay, 6 Lap Parlauf, 4x1 relay, Obstacle relay and Over and Under relay. There's also Chest Push, Speed Bounce, Standing Long Jump, Standing Triple Jump, vertical Jump and Soft Javelin in terms of field events.
Greswold were crowned County Champions in 2023 and this year's team kept up that strong tradition with an excellent performance. The children were a real credit to Greswold. In terms of the track events, Greswold won 9 out of 12 events with the girls team winning every single one of their track events.
The team are now through to the South Solihull Area Final at North Solihull Sports' Centre on Wednesday 6th March, plenty of time for more practise!
