Informative visit helps to add more realism and context to Year 6 history learning

Last week, Year 6 were delighted to welcome Peter Armitage MBE to school to share his knowledge and experiences of World War II with our children. Peter delivered a fascinating and engaging talk, bringing history to life through his stories and expertise. The children had the opportunity to ask thoughtful questions and learn more about what life was like on the homefront during World War II.  A particular highlight was being able to handle a range of replica artefacts, which helped deepen their understanding of this period of history.

Thank you to Year 6 staff for sourcing such an emotive and immersive experience for the children.
