No shortage of commitment but mixed fortunes for Greswold teams in the football league tonight

Tonight's round of football league matches took place at Tudor Grange with both the girls' and boys' school football teams in action.

First up were the girls' team who put up a very battling display against a strong St Alphege team.  Without their usual goalkeeper, the girl's showed great commitment and teamwork but eventually were beaten 2-0.

The game was immediately followed by the boys' match against Langley.  Looking for their first win of the season, the boys' showed really strong teamwork and used communication effectively to produce some free flowing passing football.  This eventually resulted in two goals being scored before half time.  Their energy and confidence continued in the second half with Greswold running out 5-1 winners.

Well done to everyone involved and, as usual, thank you to the families of all Greswold pupils who came to watch and support the teams.

The girls' team's next match is next Wednesday 31st at 4pm against Shirley Heath, again at Tudor Grange, with the boys playing the following day against Monkspath at Solihull Moors at 5pm.
