This year's summer reading challenge is called Ready Set Read. It runs from Saturday 8 July until Saturday 9 September 2023. To participate, children will need to register at their local Solihull library.
Alan, from the Core Library in Solihull, came into school today to talk to the children about the challenge.
The children need pick up a collector's card from the library and read only six books over the summer holidays. They will receive a set of stickers each time they visit and a certificate after six books have been read. For those that complete the challenge they will receive a medal too.
