Year 5 Study Week to the Isle of Wight
Pupils from Year 5 spent a week on the Isle of Wight on a residential visit which mixed learning and fun. After visiting HMS Warrior in Portsmouth to learn about the Victorian Navy, the children then headed to their hotel in Sandown. During the week away the children visited Osborne House to learn about Queen Victoria, Carisbrooke Castle to find out about King Charles I and Alum Bay to see coastal processes at work first hand. There were also visits to Blackgang Chine and Sandown Beach, although the sea was rather cold. The children were brilliant and we hope they enjoyed their time away.
