A visit to St Alphege church to make Y2 learning even more memorable

This morning, pupils and staff from year 2 enjoyed a visit to St Alphege Church in Solihull town centre, as part of their RE lessons and a chance to reflect on Christmas themes. They made bookmarks and were invited to go on a 'journey to the stable' and learn more about the Christmas story.   On their journey around the church, the children met an inn keeper, a shepherd, a king and the baby Jesus.

The members of the church Alison, Ben and the team made everyone feel very welcome and the children perfectly demonstrated our school values so well throughout the visit and more importantly during the walk to and from the church.
