Fabulous Greswold family fundraising story to warm the hearts!
Children from a Greswold family, who were worried that some children might miss out on Christmas gifts this year (especially chocolate!), took it upon themselves to do something about it.
Clara and Billy, and their younger brother Riley, decided to undertake their very own sponsored bike and scooter ride around Hockley Heath pavilion grounds, with each lap measuring approximately 0.6km. Family and friends happily sponsored the children who all acheived really impressive distances. Clara and Billy each managed an amazing 10 laps (5.72km each) and Riley managed 6 laps (3.43km).
Between the three of them, they raised a staggering £348!! The money was then used to purchase lots of items, including selection boxes, chocolate tubs, dolls, trucks, colouring sets and family games, which were then donated to the food bank and toy appeal at The Renewal Centre on Lode Lane.
What a wonderful example of pupils using our Greswold values to help others who might be less fortunate. Well done children, we are very proud of you all.
