Spring unveils secret ways to promote active travel!
Spring is finally here and the glorious weather this morning prompted Mr Hornsey to stretch his legs and actively travel to school!
It was also a chance to check out some of the shortcuts, alleys and cut throughs around the local area which might make it easier for some families to leave their vehicles at home, on occasion, over the next few months.
There are a number of pedestrian alleys and short cuts which can very much shorten active journey times, one being the passage from Heaton Road to Links Drive, completely cutting out the need to use the Warwick Road. It's a lovely, scenic journey too as it creeps around the perimeter of Olton golf course.
So why not check out the map below for other alleys and short cuts and try ditching that car just once a week maybe during the fair weather months?
