On Tuesday 10th February, our Year 6 Basketball Team attended the second part of our South Solihull School Games Basketball tournament (after playing the first part in November) at St Peter's School.
The event was a Develop event meaning the winners were not solely based on points and ability but also the way they demonstrated the School Games values throughout.
The team itself worked incredibly well and were a credit to their teachers, their families and the whole school. They managed to outscore every school they played including victories against St Patrick's, Balsall Common and Tidbury Green which was magnificent. What was even more pleasing was the team scored the highest points available for the School Games values of honesty, respect and teamwork as well, voted for by each umpire, which also helped to cement the team's overall victory.
While their basketball skills must be admired, the fact that each team member demonstrated Greswold values at all times throughout the competition is just as pleasing and important. Well done to the team, everyone at Greswold is very proud of you.
