Year 6 children have rowing 'fever' this term!

Rowing fever has taken over Year 6 this term as Mr Isles invited pupils from Cedars, Willows and Maples to develop their skills in readiness for this year's annual School Games competition.

The enthusiasm of the children, with over half of the children in year 6 attending training, meant that Mr Isles was able to enter extra teams.  In total, 7 teams and 28 pupils represented the school at the girls., boys. and SEND Area Final events.

The training well and truly paid off with Greswold team 1 placing 2nd in their girls' event, Greswold team 1 placing 1st in theirs and our SEND team placing 2nd in their event.  These magnificent achievements mean each of those team will now go onto compete in the County Finals in March.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances out of our hands, the date of the event coincides with the Sportshall Athletics Area Final meaning pupils from the other rowing teams, who also did well, will now get the chance to step up and replace their colleagues and row for the school in the County Final, a real team effort.  Well done everyone.
