Year 6 girls excelling in athletics both in and out of school!
Next week, the Y5/6 Sportshall Athletics team will be competing in the South Solihull Area Final against nine other schools, all hoping to clinch that all important first place which enables the winner to compete in the subsequent County Finals.
The team have been very busy training for the event. However, two members of the team have been able to undertake some extra training as Jess and Lizzie both represent Solihull and Small Heath Athletics club at out-of-school competitions. This has enabled them to be selected for a combined Birmingham team at a recent regional event.
They both did amazingly well with Birmingham actually ending up winners! This bodes very well for next week when they be representing school in their track and field events at the Area Final. Well done Lizzie and Jess, we are all very proud of you.
