A couple of weeks ago, Latest News reported on the fabulous presentations year 6 delivered, inspired by Greta Thunberg. The subject of those presentations was deforestation, an important topic which they explored as a part of their Geography lessons on rainforests.
Subsequently, they used their presentations to generate letters which were then sent to the government. Well, yesterday, they received a response from the Prime Minister's Correspondence Officer which you can view on the gallery below.
This is just another example of how skilled Greswold staff are at devising series' of lessons which not only add a sense of reality and context to what the children are doing, but also add a real purpose and reason so that pupils can see the impact and justification of why they are learning what the are learning.
