Lego Workshops help Y1 to develop their designing skills!
This week, for the first time, year 1 pupils have had the opportunity of taking part in Lego Workshops as part of their cross-curricular learning this half term.
Create-Build-Learn is an educational provider who work with children to develop their designing skills using the medium of Lego.
The focus of each session was on castle building as this is the theme of History lessons this half term. The sessions have really helped the children with their design and technology learning which will be supplemented further when the children actually visit a real life castle, Warwick Castle, in a few weeks.
Thank you to Miss Smith, D&T subject leader, for organising such a memorable experience, another example of how the staff here at Greswold strive to inter-connect learning and use different contexts and immersive experiences to help children embed knowledge, skills and understanding long term.
