Poetry Please
Last week, Mrs Woodcock accompanied six Year 6 pupils to a poetry enrichment event at Coppice School. The children were asked to create different poems on a range of themes in a very short space of time. The focus was on the quality of the words used and getting pen to paper in a short space of time. As you can see from the examples below, they edited and re-drafted as they wrote. They were also challenged to write a poem at home and you can see that one of our pupils chose to do just that. They represented Greswold brilliantly, Mrs Woodcock was very proud of them and we hope that they were inspired to write even more.
