Today was a very typical example of just how busy everyone is here at Greswold and just how fun our learning can be.
It started in year 2 this morning with an interactive, theatrical performance of The Great Fire of London, a history topic the pupils have been studying this term.
At the same time, year 6 pupils were involved in Virtual Reality workshops to enhance their experience and learning of life during World War 1.
All Reception children were also involved in their first stage rehearsals for their upcoming Christmas play while, at lunchtime, Mr Isles held rowing club for more, very keen year 6 pupils. The aim is to eventually create two teams of 8 competitors to represent the school at the annual competition next term.
Finally, it was the turn of year 5 pupils this afternoon to take part in Virtual Reality workshops to help supplement their learning of Space in Science.
It is worth noting that our very own Greswold PTA generously all the curriculum enhancements today including the VR workshops and Great Fire of London theatrical performance while also providing the funds for the new rowing machine used at lunchtime.
The PTA also helped to fund new costumes last year to be used during Reception and Nursery Christmas plays!
As a school, we are very fortunate to have such a productive PTA and we very much look forward to their Christmas Fayre on the 30th November.
