 Art

Our Art topic this half term has been portraits. You have had lots of practice drawing and painting self portraits over the last couple of weeks. Today I am going to challenge you to draw a portrait of me using everything that you have learnt. I have attached a picture of my face so that you can try and make your portrait look as realistic as possible!

I absolutely cannot wait to see these and I am sure that they will put a huge smile on my face. Please upload your portraits to Tapestry and I might have to try and find some space on the walls in my house to hang them all!

Today in English I would like you to think about all of the wonderful memories that you have made in Year One. Memories are very special because you can keep them with you forever. Below is a template of a memory jar and I would like you to fill it with your favourite memories from Year One.

Ask yourself,

What was your favourite lesson? Why?

When did you laugh the most in Year One? Why, what happened?

Did you make any new friends?

What game have you enjoyed playing outdoors the most? Why?

What have you achieved?

What are you most proud of yourself for?

We will share these memories later on today in our Live Session that starts at 1:30pm.
