Monday's Air Pollution assembly....perfect timing at the start of Walk to School Week

In our KS2 assembly this morning, Greswold welcomed Annabel from Solihull Sustainable Travel team who spoke to the children about ways of reducing air pollution from vehicles outside the school.

She gave a very stark example using a blown up balloon explaining that the air in 100 of these is the same amount of air pollution generated by a car which leaves its engine on when stationary for just a minute!

If your children remind you to turn your engines off outside school and anywhere else for that matter, Annabel's air pollution assembly and Walk to School Week will be the reasons for their increased awareness.
