'Punctuality Push' update (Week 1)

Dear Parents and Carers,

We've reached the end of the first week of our 'Punctuality Push' campaign, a chance for Greswold to highlight the lifelong importance of being punctual and on time.  Time for an update.

In total, there were 104 pupils late into school in the mornings compared to 115 last week which is a small but pleasing improvement.  However, just under half of those lates (46) were attributed to 'traffic'.  Although Monday was quite rainy and Wednesday was very foggy, the advice shared last week will help to still avoid lateness.  Leaving the house a little earlier when weather dictates there will be more traffic on the roads will help your children to still arrive at school on time.

Thank you to the one parent who attended this week's coffee afternoon to discuss matters relating to punctuality.  It was still a really interesting and purposeful meeting.  Mr Hornsey is hoping for more parents to attend next week's coffee morning on Wednesday between 9-10am.  Again, if you wish to attend, please inform the school office beforehand.

Thank you to the parents who have also communicated their their own helpful tips and successes which help their children to be on time for school.  We will share these in the coming week.  If you wish to offer your own tips or advice, please click on the link below and complete the short survey.

Next week, school will be focusing on afternoon collections as well as morning drop-offs so please remember that collection times are 3:10pm for years' 3, 4, 5 and 6, 3:20pm for Reception and years' 1 and 2, and 3:30pm for Nursery.

Thank you and here's to a further improvement next week.
