Sports' Day Success!
Thank goodness the weather was good this week as outdoor enjoyment was the aim of the game! Our annual Sports' Days tied in nicely with Walk to School Week and our charity sponsored walk for Educaid, highlighting Greswold's ongoing promotion of active and healthy lifestyles. As the weather was very pleasant and not too hot (justifying the reason for bringing the date forward) the children excelled in all the games they participated in, avidly watched by hundreds of family members on each afternoon.
On Wednesday, St Patrick's were winners in a closely fought KS1 and Reception Sports' Day.
(1st) St Patrick's - 171
(2nd) St Andrew's - 169
(3rd) St David's - 155
(4th) St George's - 141
On Thursday, only 15 points separated all four teams in the KS2 Sports' Day with St David's running out eventual winners.
(1st) St David's - 266
(2nd) St Patrick's - 260
(3rd) St George's - 256
(4th) St Andrew's - 251
Well done to everyone involved and especially to the staff and organisers, Mr Isles and Miss Bragg, for making it such a memorable occasion for the whole school community.
