Spelling
This week you are going to be learning to spell words with silent letters. First, find out about silent letters using the BBC Bitesize lesson below.

There are different silent letters, but today we are going to focus on the silent k. When you have a word with kn, you only say the /n/ sound.
Try writing these words down correctly onto a piece of paper, using a colour for the silent letter.
knight, knife, know, knit, knitting, knitted, knot, kneel, knock, knocking, knocked, knee
Make sure you spell them correctly.

Use the planning sheet or write your ideas on a piece of paper. You will need this plan for next week's English so please either upload it or bring it in with you when you come back to school.

This week, we are finding out how animals found in the Arctic and Antarctica are suited to the polar habitat. Read through the PowerPoint and then use the websites, videos and fact sheets to complete the Learning Task.
