This week we will be learning:
Maths - This week we will be continuing the learning about the link between fractions and decimals. There are videos about the methods we are using on the White Rose home learning page and you can download a workbook here. English - We will continuing to focus on the story of Street Child by Berlie Doherty.
Foundation subjects - half term overview
History - This half term, the children will be learning about the Victorian era and how Britain changed during this time. The children will find out about what life was like for rich and poor people, how technology evolved and what changes occurred in our local area. Science - We will be learning about how materials can be changed. The children will be completing a number of practical investigations to see how chemical and physical changes occur. Art - Our focus is creating images using one and two-point perspective. Computing - The children will be developing their searching skills and learning how search engines work. MFL - The children will be learning Spanish throughout Year 5. This half term we will focus on how to describing homes. PSD - This half term's unit is 'Relationships'. PE - Indoor PE this half term is dance, linked to our Victorian performance. Throughout this term, outdoor PE will be ball skills. |
