    Wed 06 Feb 2019
Pupils from Year 5 got to experience what life would have been like in the Victorian era when they visited Blists Hill Victorian Town in Telford. The children tried a Victorian lessons complete with slates, sitting in rows and lots of repetition - very different to the experience at Greswold. During their time at the attraction the children also visited a traditional sweet shop, pharmacy and even got to meet a cart horse. Such a lot of learning packed into one day. Tue 29 Jan 2019

30 children from Year 3 had the opportunity to represent Greswold at the Solihull Personal Best Festival. Here, the aim was to show great determination, resilience and self-belief in order to beat their own 'personal best' at 8 different challenges they had previously been practicing at school. They all did incredibly well and we are very proud of the children who took part. There are more pictures on the Year 3 page.

  • A January litter pick

    Thu 24 Jan 2019
Pupils in our Nurture Group decided to help make our grounds tidier by getting outside and completing a litter pick around Greswold. During the afternoon, the children found lots of litter that has ended up dumped around our site. After filling several bags, they then got a bit creative and spelt out Greswold in litter before disposing of it (and washing their hands). Thanks to the team for their hard work.
  • School Football Team Success

    Thu 24 Jan 2019
Greswold's school football team's successful start to the league season continued this evening with another two wins against fellow League Group 1 schools at Old Silhillians.  After winning their first league game of the season in November, the team completed a 7-2 win against Ulverley.  These results coupled with an automatic 5-0 win against Coppice due to a forfeited match means Greswold have a 100% record so far in this season's competition.  At the end of the season, the top two teams from each league will gain a place in the South Solihull Large Schools' Football League semi-finals.  With four more games to play, Greswold are in a very strong position.  Well done to all those involved and keep up the good work.

  • Mrs Scott's new Christmas jumper

    Thu 20 Dec 2018
After the final design had been voted on by pupils, Mrs Cooper and her team had been busy creating a unique Christmas jumper for Mrs Scott to wear. In our penultimate assembly of 2018, the amazing jumper was revealed to the school - complete with baubles, tinsel and even working lights. Mrs Scott spent the rest of the day wearing the jumper and making the staff jealous that they didn't have one. Mr Hornsey has already requested his own 2019 Christmas jumper.

  • Christmas parties

    Tue 18 Dec 2018
With Christmas approaching, our children in Key Stage 1 had a festive treat at their traditional parties. The children enjoyed a disco in the Upper School Hall before heading back to the Lower School for party food. A great way to finish the Autumn term. Thanks to parents for sending in items for the buffet.
