  • Year 2 visit Dunfield House

    Fri 09 Jun 2017
Year 2 enjoyed two nights away from home in the glorious countryside of the Welsh border. They stayed at Dunfield House and spent their time being creative and learning about minibeasts. The children got to hunt minibeasts in the woods, go for a welly walk, make mud hedgehogs, play ball games, play on the adventure playground and have a camp fire - all on the first day! There was lots to do later in the visit including a lovely evening walk through the nearby fields and a swim in the pool. The children were great and we are grateful for all the staff who gave up their time to make the visit happen.
  • Read all about it!

    Sat 27 May 2017
A group of pupils have been busy each lunchtime on a secret project - to create a school newspaper. The boys have spent their time finding out what has been going on at Greswold this half term by interviewing staff and pupils. After weeks of effort, they have now completed the first edition of The Greswold Times and it was available for sale after school. All the money raised is going to support the Educaid Africa charity. Well done, boys! A super job.

  • A prickly visitor to Greswold

    Fri 26 May 2017

A hedgehog was found on the school field today. As we all know hedgehogs are nocturnal animals , so for him to be out during the day time there must have been something wrong. He was taken to the vet where they will look after him until he is well enough to be released back to his home around our school. Get well soon 'Sonic'.

  • Goodbye to Mrs Mullinex, Mrs Featherstone and Mrs Faulkner

    Fri 07 Apr 2017

As the Spring term came to an end, we said goodbye to three members of staff who are leaving Greswold. Mrs Mullinex has been in charge of Greswold Greyhounds for the past 7 years and is relocating to another part of the country. Mrs Featherstone is leaving Greswold after 15 years, having working in different roles including parent-volunteer, teaching assistant and teacher. Finally our Librarian Mrs Falkner is leaving to spend more time on other projects after 32 years of being associated with Greswold as a parent and a member of staff.

Greswold wished all of our leavers well in a special assembly. Mrs Scott led the farewell, with former headteachers Mr Bird and Mr Carnell also giving speeches. Our pupils had also been making cards filled with special messages which were presented as a memento and to say thank you. We wish Mrs Mullinex, Mrs Featherstone and Mrs Faulkner every success for the future and they will always be part of the Greswold family.
