  • Welcome back

    Tue 03 Sep 2019
Welcome to a new year of learning at Greswold Primary School. Today Mrs Scott led an assembly all about making the most of the opportunities offered in the upcoming year. The children were also given a challenge to work out a mystery object which turned out to be a door. Let's see where this new academic year leads.
  • Introducing The Den

    Fri 30 Aug 2019
A second summer project was the creation of our new inclusion classroom - The Den. This new space was created by knocking through the Cherry and Strawberry rooms and adding a toilet. After a coat of paint the new room looks bright and inviting - ready for the children who will be learning in the room with their teacher Mr Jones. You can see how the room has evolved in the pictures below.
  • Key Stage 1 playground redevelopment

    Fri 30 Aug 2019
There's been lots of activity at Greswold over the summer break. The Key Stage 1 playground has been levelled and covered with new artificial grass to provide more space for the children. It looks fantastic and has got rid of the muddy area where we just couldn't get the grass to grow. We look forward to the children seeing the finished result when they return to school in September. Below you can see the development of the project from start to completion.
  • Year 6 Leavers' Assembly

    Fri 19 Jul 2019

On Friday we said goodbye to our Year 6 class of 2019. Some of the children have been with us for 8 years having started with us in Nursery, while others had become part of the Greswold family as the year group moved through the school. Year 6 put on an emotional leavers' assembly demonstrating their talents, with poems, songs from their Revolting Children show and two songs played on the ukulele. We were also delighted to welcome Councillor Stuart Davis the Mayor of Solihull to the assembly. He helped Mrs Scott to present the yearbooks to each of the children. Year 6 - you did your parents proud. We wish you every success for the future.

You can watch a shortened version of the the Leavers' Assembly on the website here or children in Year 6 can watch or download the full version here by logging in using their solgrid email address and password.

  • PTA Summer Fayre

    Sat 13 Jul 2019
There was a fantastic 'chilled out' atmosphere at this year's PTA Summer Fayre. There was a Hawaiian theme to the event which featured performances from each year group, Animated Dance clubs and special guest Sohan. The food and drink stands were busy all day long dishing out refreshments, as were the usual games and ever popular face painting. Many thanks to everyone who came along to support and to the PTA for organising a wonderful fayre. All the money raised will support children at Greswold.
  • Year 6 perform Revolting Children

    Fri 12 Jul 2019
Year 6 put on a spectacular performance of Revolting Children at the Bushell Hall. After learning their lines, practicing the songs and rehearsing the dances, the children took to stage to put on a professional show that had the audience laughing, cheering and in tears. The children were real stars and fully deserved the standing ovation at the end of the performance. Many thanks to all the staff who worked hard to put on the show especially Miss Partridge and to to Solihull School for letting us use their fantastic facility. Click here to watch the show.
