This year’s Summer Fun Day will take place on Saturday 11 July from 12:00 – 4:00 pm. The PTA have invited CircusMash to come along and be the centrepiece of our summer fair. You can seem their work on their YouTube channel. The group will be running short performances from 1:00 pm, so come along and have our usual delicious BBQ and samosas, a cold drink or two, enjoy the workshops and all our usual fun and games.
Donations of bags of sweets and any wines or spirits would be much appreciated. Please send them into school on Friday 10 July.
Today we welcomed back expert dancer Mr Kailey to Greswold. Our children in Nursery loved joining in with a special 'under the sea' themed dance which even featured Nemo and Dory from the popular Pixar movie. You can see the children having a great time in the pictures below.
Today we were pleased to welcome two visitors from Solihull Library Service to our Friday assembly. They had come to Greswold to tell our pupils about the Summer Reading Challenge. This year the challenge is themed around the Guinness Book of Records and children can earn stickers for reading over the summer break. You can find out more about where your child can take part in the challenge at Solihull's libraries on their website.
In February 2015, Solihull Council approved the School Organisation Plan which outlined the need to add additional primary school places due to an increasing birth rate, population growth and housing developments. Greswold Primary School is the Council’s preferred location to meet the demand from parents living in the area and the needs of future housing development. The additional places are needed so that children living in its catchment or, those with brothers and sisters at the school can be offered a place.
More details about the proposals are available on this page.
