Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Dear Parents and Carers,
As part of our ongoing development as a school to strengthen the partnership between home and school, we thought the new year was a good time to inform you of some changes to how we communicate our curriculum to parents/carers.
To improve parental awareness and understanding of what your child are being taught, our class teachers in Years 1 to 6 have compiled a half-termly overview which will be emailed home to all parents and carers at the beginning of each half term. They will also be placed onto the year group pages on our website, which you can find here: https://www.greswold.solihull.sch.uk/topic/year-groups
We do hope you find this useful and would be open to any feedback you have.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Hobbis
Curriculum Leader
Below is the timetable for Tuesday football clubs at lunchtime with a coach from FDS. Children don't require PE kit but do have to wear a separate set of footwear (trainers or second set of trainers if it's PE day).
You will notice that Y4 girls can start immediately after February half term and Y4 boys will replace Y6 boys halfway through the summer term.
We are delighted to share that 253 pupils (Reception to Year 6) achieved 100% attendance for last half term and 374 pupils achieved our target of 96% attendance and above. Please click on the link below to see our Attendance Superstars roll of honour.

Well done to all our Attendance Superstars!
This week, Year 1-6 school council members had the opportunity to meet with Solihull Schools' Catering team. They shared ideas with the staff about meals they liked and disliked and were able to volunteer ideas for the forthcoming menu. I think it is safe to say that some of our pupils have a very sophisticated palate and I am not sure sushi and smoked salmon will quite make the cut!
However, lots of fantastic ideas were shared with the staff members and it also gave them an opportunity to share things that they don't feel are going well. We look forward to maybe seeing some of their ideas on future menus.
We are proud to announce that our school kitchen has been awarded a 5‑Star Food Hygiene Rating. The rating follows an unannounced inspection earlier this week by environmental health, in which the kitchen was commended for its outstanding standards of cleanliness, food safety management, and efficient organisation.
The achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of our catering team, who consistently strive to provide high‑quality, nutritious meals in a safe and welcoming environment. The 5‑star rating reinforces our commitment to maintaining excellence in every aspect of food preparation and service.
Lisa Piggot, Operations manager for Solihull catering service said ‘I am extremely proud that Lisa Card, the Catering Manager and her team have continued their success in gaining another 5* EHO rating for the school kitchen, they all work very hard in providing a wonderful lunch for the children and keeping the kitchen in tip top condition, they work hard doing all their training to make sure the children receive the best care.’
We look forward to continuing to provide pupils with healthy, well‑prepared meals while upholding the exceptional standards demonstrated during the inspection.
